Okay, sorry to be a nerd, but Robbie the robot is a very specific look and robot from a 1950’s sci-fi movie “Forbidden Planet”. Robbie was the most expensive movie prop ever made in his time. This robot, while very cool in his/her own right, cannot be called “Robbie” lest you attract the ire of fans like me. Not that it’s a lot of ire, or that said ire is more annoying than a lone teensy fly buzzing around inside your Id, but there you have it. Wow, Imgur long comments are crazy these days.
