2.3L 4 cylinder with 5speed manual transmission... I have that exact same engine in my ranger... this looks like a really good way to blow the cylinder head off.

I've been running 20+psi for 14 years in this truck and have never even blown a head gasket.

Classic engine! Good luck getting parts. I had to scrap a hatch back project over the cost of repairs to the engine.

I've built my last two engines myself. Also I've been in the 2.3 turbo world for like 20 years, I have a stash and friends with their own stashes for spare parts.

cheap ugly homemade intercooler piping for the turbo.

The one on the left is compressed air from the turbo to the intercooler and the right is from the intercooler to the intake.
