I wanted to take the last few hours to share one of my all time favorite speeches ever. It comes from the web series Red Vs. Blue. Silly and wonderful, when it became story focused it had some very serious and deep moments.
The speech is the last lines of season 13, the chorus trilogy.
Spoilers below, beware.
"There's so many good stories where some brave hero has to give their life to save the day, and because of their sacrifice, the good guys win, the survivors cheer, and everyone lives happily ever after. But the hero never gets to see the ending. They'll never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference. They'll never know if the day was really saved. In the end, they just have to have faith. Ain’t that a bitch.”

The idea of sacrifice. You'll never know if it works or if it was futile. Makes the sacrifices those make seem so much more meaningful.
And the little "ain't that a bitch". Knowing this is Epsilon's final moment, his sacrifice. It's powerful for me.
Then to end it on the redux version of contact. It's one of my all time favorite endings.

I was blown away by how good this got. Won't even deny that I teared up at the end of season 10. Church's rant when phasing into the other fragments hit like a ton of bricks.
