#1 For me it's one of two things. It's either scam calls, or recruiters going "Hey do you want this job? I know you're only 6 months into your current job but can I put you forward anyway?"
#4 You know what, as a professional writer, using, "very ____," is fine. Especially in instances where these phrases will paint different mental images because of how we use them. For most of us, there's a difference between being, "very poor," and "destitute." Sure, on paper they mean the same thing, but we don't often them that way. We don't use grave or sorrowful like that, either. Also, you shouldn't use, "very perfect," ever. It's either perfect, or it's not.
Iām honestly not confident Iām coming back for season 3. This is the slowest burn story to ever slow burn, and it feels like theyāre making it up as they go. The writers just decide āthis would be weird and uncomfortable, letās add itā and seem to have little idea where the story is actually going. S1 left me wanting more. S2 left me⦠indifferent. If it were cancelled right now, Iām not sure Iād care.
We decided that we are not coming back for any more seasons. The slow burn and making it up as they go is exactly what I was thinking. I like shows that lead you to think that you got it figured out only to reveal something clever and noteworthy but this is not one of those shows.
#4 Some of those uses of "very" are more suitable as the other words can describe an extreme that isn't necessarily true. Being very scared is not being the same as petrified. Language is about communication. It's sufficient as long as the other person understands what you are attempting to communicate.
Apparently using destitute in this format is the primary use of the word. I thought the primary use was the secondary and vice versa. Learn something every day. Then usually forget it a few days later (unless it's related to my profession).
Yes! Thatās one of the things I was thinking of! And just how she was kinda Helly but āoffā in the rest of those episodes. It was so subtle. She really pulled it off.

You'll feel so weird doing it, but it's so good and you'll be a different person by the end of it.

Yes! It's confusing, but because it's meant to be, not bc they're lazy. It's ultimately satisfying.

It's a mystery box story, but unlike JJ Abrams you get the impression that this show actually knows what's in the box.
