I don't understand ANY of these memes! But let's see what happens when I get to work.

This show is important and mysterious 🐐

"Very perfect" sounds so weird to say.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#5 isn’t there an obvious answer to this? But nobody else commented on this so am I the one missing something?

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not familiar with Severance but y'all doin' some weird shit with your belly buttons, seems like.

Outie and innie refer to your personality while outside of work and inside of work respectively.

#1 For me it's one of two things. It's either scam calls, or recruiters going "Hey do you want this job? I know you're only 6 months into your current job but can I put you forward anyway?"

#4 You know what, as a professional writer, using, "very ____," is fine. Especially in instances where these phrases will paint different mental images because of how we use them. For most of us, there's a difference between being, "very poor," and "destitute." Sure, on paper they mean the same thing, but we don't often them that way. We don't use grave or sorrowful like that, either. Also, you shouldn't use, "very perfect," ever. It's either perfect, or it's not.

And yet there's no problem saying something is "quite perfect" in one's a formal language.

I just started the show. Loving it so far.

#8 I have a theory...

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#4 That's very compelling.

Double plus unboring

4 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

#4 the knife was keen. The chocolate cake was wealthy.

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Peter Dinklage is brief. That paint job is destitute. The payment was a little timid this month.

Please try to enjoy each of these memes equally.

Oops, lost 10 points

I’m honestly not confident I’m coming back for season 3. This is the slowest burn story to ever slow burn, and it feels like they’re making it up as they go. The writers just decide ā€œthis would be weird and uncomfortable, let’s add itā€ and seem to have little idea where the story is actually going. S1 left me wanting more. S2 left me… indifferent. If it were cancelled right now, I’m not sure I’d care.

I DECLARE APATHY

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

We decided that we are not coming back for any more seasons. The slow burn and making it up as they go is exactly what I was thinking. I like shows that lead you to think that you got it figured out only to reveal something clever and noteworthy but this is not one of those shows.

Damn I didn't have any idea he's the bowling Jesus.

And one of the escaped convicts in O' Brother Where Art Thou

Also the fed guy from Transformers, but most importantly, Roland T. Flakfizer, Attorney at Law, from Brain Donors. What a film.

So verbose! If you wrote the first appendix it would have burst

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That was one of the top 10 moments of the show.

Almost made me like him.

"My favourite part of Severance S01 was how they managed to fit an entire episode's worth of plot into a whole season"

#4 Some of those uses of "very" are more suitable as the other words can describe an extreme that isn't necessarily true. Being very scared is not being the same as petrified. Language is about communication. It's sufficient as long as the other person understands what you are attempting to communicate.

4 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah, those are destitute examples.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Apparently using destitute in this format is the primary use of the word. I thought the primary use was the secondary and vice versa. Learn something every day. Then usually forget it a few days later (unless it's related to my profession).

4 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Am I going to have to start watching this bloody show?

4 months ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

It's weird, and all the actors are great. So maybe!

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You'll feel so weird doing it, but it's so good and you'll be a different person by the end of it.

4 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Yes! It's confusing, but because it's meant to be, not bc they're lazy. It's ultimately satisfying.

4 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

It's a mystery box story, but unlike JJ Abrams you get the impression that this show actually knows what's in the box.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not the second season. S2 is a mess.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

YES!

4 months ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

Yes.
Truly original plot lines are thin on the ground in the 21st Century.

4 months ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Indeed! The premise has implications that aren’t obvious at first, and they do a good job of exploring and unfolding them as the show goes on.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Mmm Hmm

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

NOW!

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Manage your expectations! It’s a slow burn but very good.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's very good. Very confusing, but because they mean for it to be not bc they are lazy. Ultimately satisfying.

Britt Lower’s acting when she was playing Helena pretending to be Helly R was amazing. She really nailed it.

4 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

Ugh, that one subtle and terrifying facial expression switch in the ORTBO episode... She was incredible.

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Which one?

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes! That’s one of the things I was thinking of! And just how she was kinda Helly but ā€œoffā€ in the rest of those episodes. It was so subtle. She really pulled it off.
