If you're honestly considering this, also consider just buying a shipping container and using it instead. Much more space, easier to set up.
DougDeNasty
Better to buy an old school bus and bury it so the arch roof can provide support.
EvilKrikkit
Not good to bury though.
UghItsThatGuy
Oh, very wrong. Shipping containers are great to bury. You do need to either prep the outside walls or prep the burial site, though.
bolobass
Have you seen the price of shipping containers lately?
flacoloco
they are about to get a discount bc of less trade with russia, and belarus
bloodandbloodyashes
If you do the research, shipping containers also collapse under the pressure needed to bury them. Also, machinery needed in a hindrance.
bloodandbloodyashes
Same for busses/boats/ anything else buried under ground. The prep is extensive, compared to these shelters which can be made by hand.

You can erect a shelter without the need for a crane.
UghItsThatGuy
You can move an empty shipping container with just a forklift. They're not much more than 2 tons; on hard ground even a jack will work.

I've learned something new.
