So much of the junk is from people not paying attention to the stuff saying they're submitting the image to a public gallery. They think they have to make the image "public" to share the link/use it on their site/whatever. Yesterday for like 5 minutes there was a Deltarune vigorously filling a diaper. That's the usersub I remember.

The problem is not only the percentage increase of junk posts, but also the decrease of real and meaningful posts. Users are demotivated to post if they are inundated with so much useless crap.

I can't tell because I'm on the android app on 2 devices and it doesn't update the feeds very often for me. That started around the time they removed the bot filters.

A lot of spam accounts and bullshit that would be normally filtered out isn't because imgur turned off the filters. So Russian GTA screenshots, actual human trafficking, ect. Escorts, which usually means human trafficking.

usersub is usually full of bullshit - usersub be like that - so I didn't notice it being particularly more pungent than usual; I'm emerald so guessing the lack of ads etc turn the intensity down some.
