For context, this has happened before. Judges sometimes argue immigration agents endanger public safety if migrants dealing with relatively minor legal issues feel it is unsafe to enter courthouses.
In the first Trump term, a judge was indicted on charges of obstructing immigration authorities. The charges were dropped after the judge agreed to refer herself to potential judicial discipline.
This is more tantrum throwing, they are testing their boundaries like any toddler.

the FBI is alleging she specifically misdirected FBI agents that were there to arrest the person who'd just been in court. If they had a legal warrant and she pulled the old "he went that way" it would at least be reasonable to see something happen because of it. I'm not sure arresting the judge would be the normal response but it's not, potentially, outside of reasonable. If they're just lying entirely then the FBI is disappearing a judge for just getting in their way somehow

Courts are supposed to be a hallowed ground. Accused, witnesses, and victims are expected to be in the same place at the same time to find justice peaceably. Courts have a duty to keep all of those parties safe as part of the social contract of justice that supplants vigilantism and its tremendous costs & losses to society. If plain-clothes feds are breaking in to attack one of those parties, why not copy that as a mob boss to kidnap a witness? Why comply as a witness? This breaks society.
