Hi everyone! My partner and I have been playing the RPG Daggerheart from Darrington Press and Critical Role with our friends, and we've absolutely loved it!
As you might have seen from my previous post, I like to write stories in my spare time, so I decided to write a short story set in the world we've been creating. Then it kinda got away from me.
But! I ended up really liking where it went, even if it's not where I thought I'd go.
We also like to record ourselves reading my stories, with voices for the characters and such, just for fun. We'd love for you to check it out:

I do want to be clear, we are in no way associated with Darrington Press, this is purely a fan project. Also, we are not monetizing this at all, we have put no ads on either platform, and have no sponsors. We're just enjoying thinking about another reality for a bit, and wanted to share that with you!

There are SO MANY RPG's where the setting and worldbuilding is amazing, but the mechanics make them "meh." One superhero game I liked was called Brave New World. It had a really cool setup for a comic book world where players were metahumans that weren't TOO powerful (it's part of the setting history and why Chicago is called "Crescent City" due to a perfectly circular lake in the middle of it now), but the game itself was just kind of lackluster.

For me its when the mechanics get overly complicated. I use to play magic and now I have no idea what is going on with it. It sucks when an awesome idea for a game winds up being a let down.

Easy to port those to other systems.

Stories got a life of their own. Best to let them flow.

They really do. The problem is the flow comes later so I have to go back to the beginning to edit to match the rest of the story.

All writing is rewriting. Don't sweat it!

Hell yeah. Keep that shit up!

Thank you! :) I needed to hear that.
