This could really help destroy the GOP's prospects if she becomes chair. The GOP is already feeling a lot of pain from most of the fundraising over the last several years going to Trump's coffers instead of Senate or House races in desperate need of it. Making Lara Trump the chair of the RNC would only exacerbate that problem further. Trump's legal fees is costing the GOP downticket.
