Who said it has?

Where's it gonna land Flargon?

2 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

No feet!

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That's the neat part. It didn't.

2 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

We might kill someone but hey as long as it is good fun no? /s

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Somewhere in China probably.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ill let you know next week

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Later that day, somewhere far far away..

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That is facking impressive!!!

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Fake, the amount of explosive force that is shown leaving the manhole, does not match up with the speed of the manhole cover.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can see a second cover pop off, a little north of the one with the fire crackers. That's not how this would work in the real world.

I've seen the versions of this where it doesn't end well.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks like it lands on the hood of the blue van upper left

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 6

Not seeing it. Can you provide more details?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Houston, we have liftoff.

Chinese space programme has taken an interesting pivot.

Did the Maffs, the video is 12 fps, it traveled 2 meters in one frame, which gives a speed of 24 m/s, making it land 5 seconds later

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It lands 1m away between seconds 6 and 7. It flipped on its side, tumbling fucks with physics

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 6

Thats a different one, I thought it was the one bkasted at first but ypu can see that another one was lifted too.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That air mix ratio was beyond perfect.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Idiots and fire, what a source of entertainment

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Some say it’s still going today

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Am I really the only person that thinks this is mostly fake? The explosion has been enhanced and the effect dramatised.

Was waiting for the brave but foolish kid to stand on it.

2 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 0

That is not brave. That is stupid.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've played Bomberman 64. That's just how you use elevators. Kick a bomb under it, stand on top, detonate.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Does it not just land about 10 ft north?

2 years ago | Likes 153 Dislikes 11

I single framed it in video editor. It looks like it landed on the one 10 ft north and dislodged it. Looks like an electrical explosion.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 10

Nope, looks like the pressure blew the one next to it off also. That's a second one.

2 years ago | Likes 92 Dislikes 2

Maybe after the video stopped.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 9

Looks like that was a second manhole cover that also blew off. What the hell caused this?

2 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 1

Excessive buildup of man-pressure

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Im guessing a gas leak

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Methane builds up in poorly vented sewer systems. Kid likely put a firework in the hole in the cover.

2 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Definitely did.

Did these kids die? I mean, homie got his jacket shredded to pieces. I can't make out what happens to the little ones but it looks bad...

2 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

I'd be shocked if nobody here was hospitalized. That type of concussive force can cause internal damage.

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

can cgi kill?

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 26

Anyone know why you can see some fire coming out right before the big explosion? Oh is it gas inside catching on fire?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, methane in sewer system. Incredibly dangerous to light.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's fake. The fire is all wrong.

I hope they signed the cover. Then when it lands on some planet around Alpha Centari, QXHELY216 will be like “Oh, thanks Bob and Stewart!”

2 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

We probably shouldn't detonate any more nuclear tests...... but damn I wish we could recreate this to test it out.

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Thanks for sharing this. Fascinating!

2 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

Can you imagine a manhole cover going over 150,000 mph? Awesome and terrifying.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Imagine being an alien, just flying around space, minding your own business, when WHAM! Earth just declares war on your planet...

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Fun fact, not the only time that a steel cap went flying because of a nuclear incident. Damascus incident.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That one involved the liquid propellant tank of a nuclear missile getting ruptured and exploding. The nuke itself didn't go off.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That said, the silo was closed and, as the liquid fuels reacted, they blew up with enough force to send the lid of the silo airborne.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It should be mentioned that the silo lid weighed 740 tons.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Didn't it manage escape Velocity ?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Vaporised

2 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

Not from the nuke behind it, but the air friction that laid ahead.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Probably, but I like to think it's in a orbit around the sun and will smash into Musk's Tesla

2 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Floating Tesla instantly obliterated by hypervelocity steel plate.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

the speed calculation of this steel cap is wildly inaccurate.. so we dont actually know how fast it went.. but it was never found

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Most likely vaporized

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

It was caught on camera flying off, but yeah if the gas stream pushing it was very hot (which is was) it is likely..

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I believe it was only in a single frame of the high speed camera, and calculations based on that estimate it vaporized in the atmosphere.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Exactly.. so there are simply too many unknown parameters in the calculation to know where or how fast it flew..

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe SOME of it vaporizes and a little bullet keeps on going, for infinity. Who knows
