Man you should try this new fad that I've been into since before it was cool, because it's not really cool, but there's these places where they will just give you books. for like free. not joking. then you bring them back in like a couple weeks and even though you don't have the book, they don't crack open your head and take the knowledge within. It's such a scam. Keep this between us, though.
My dude, I’m not sure what kind of top tier library you’ve got in your city, but the one in my town does not exactly have a plethora of manga and obscure absurdist texts.
Just remember… digital content is not covered by insurance and companies are known for pulling content or being bought out and losing access. I am still hoping someone will give the Galactic Cowboys or as they are known in the movie “Airheads” “The Sons Of Thunder” the rights to play their hit single from their album “Scrambly eggs and wobbly legs” again.
while i still enjoy reading a physical book with the coming of e-ink the reading experience on a reader is great. great for travelling too. save on space and weight
Traveling is also where I love my e-ink reader. But otherwise I find it just won't beat paper books. Especially when it comes to fact literature, where you often need to skip around, return to old parts, or quickly find certain snippets.
Upvote simply for reading. Preface, I'm high. But books to me are itinerant. They want to travel too, to new homes, new readers. I read a book, I usually put it in the lend a library after. It did its work here. Go my little baby. If I want to read you again I'll just get another copy

Tsundoku all the way.

You know you can often fit another 20-30 books on a shelf by cramming them in on top of other books?

Real books are better than digital books when it comes to readability. For storage? Not so much. I never get rid of my books, regardless.

I have a shelf that's just library books, and then when I'm done I can easily return and get more!

I'm working on it. As you say the struggle is real

A stack of books makes a good bookstop

Switched all I could to a digital reader. The old books or newer books that didn’t come out in digital format are the only physical copies I kept.

This! I only keep sentimental memory books now.

Ya same. I have like 700 books on my ereader. Don't have enough room for that in my house
