“Sustainable Power”

The room was silent, save for the low hum of the holoprojector.

Emperor Palpatine raised his arms, slow and theatrical.

“Gentlemen,” he began, with a tone just dry enough to sting. “The time has come to unveil our most visionary initiative yet.”

He made a deliberate pause.

“An answer to the energy crisis left in the wake of the Clone Wars… a beacon of hope to systems torn by chaos… a commitment to ‘sustainable power’!”

He raised his gnarled fingers, bent like talons, and made precise quote marks in the air.

There was a collective stillness. Motti blinked. Tagge shifted uncomfortably. Krennic smirked.

“This... platform,” Palpatine gestured to the spinning battle station, “is engineered to reduce waste. One shot, and an entire insurgent infrastructure—gone. Clean, efficient...”

He smiled—thin, glacial.

“It harnesses kyber-based energy in a renewable cycle,” he lied smoothly. “Self-sustaining, self-correcting, self... eliminating.”

Director Krennic leaned forward, clearly proud. “We’re also finalizing messaging around carbon neutrality, my lord.”

Palpatine nodded thoughtfully. “Very good. Let the galaxy see that the Empire is committed to lasting policies.”

He turned back to the table.

“Some will call this a superweapon,” he said. “But we know better.”

He gestured once more to the hologram above.

“This... is the future. A sustainable future!”

Krennic leaned back in his chair, grinning just wide enough for the Emperor to notice.
