Been learning the Godot game engine to create a synthwave-inspired shmup as a hobby. Finally got to a point where I feel good about the art style.

Of course, the player character will eventually be a Delorean-Adjacent space fighter. Send me a PM if you do comissions!

Looks slick, sounds cool. Love all the parallax scrolling. Making sure projectiles contrast enough to stand out seems like a challenge with both dark and bright background elements.

Oh yeah that's great, I love how chunky they are and the slow blinking on them when they enter the bullet time circle (and the glow).

Great! Yeah, visuality clarity is very important. The gimmick is that the SynthCircle slows down bullets that enter, but the circle itself is constantly shrinking. You can expand it by grazing bullets, so it's very much a risk/reward mechanic.
