1337 or l33t "Leet" or Elite. There was a phase in the early 2000s called leetspeak it was the language of online gamers. n00b, pwn3d, h4x0r, d00dz are examples. It evolved in to lolspeak which was made popular by lolcats and is kinda how memes started to evolve into what they are today (impact font white on black outline); i can haz cheezburger, in ur base killin ur doodz, doge etc
