Before its closure in 1998, Hong Kong’s Kai Tak airport was known as one of the most difficult to fly into. The airport was located right in the city and planes required a 45 degree turn to line up w the runway, quite literally flying in between buildings.

The question is how many times did the planes not make it through the buildings?

I miss the movie shots of planes flying over the buildings, uniquely Hong Kong. Now it's just boring Harbor shots.
