I hear there’s also water at the bottom of the ocean.

What's weird is I think they would win the race if they jumped in. Not being ruled by an egomaniac idiot and all that.

I wonder how long until we fill that shit up with PFAS?

That's (ideally) only 150,000 cubic meters of it. Maybe thr size of lake Vänern. That's (ideally) 100,000 cu m of hydrogen & 50,000 cu m of oxygen. We dont breathe pure oxygen itd kill us. At best we use the ice as water, second best it's a fuel. (Which you will need, and be limited by, oxygen) it is estimated you can get 33MWh per tonne. tl;dr let's not start sucking each other's dicks just yet. Even if the water can be made drinkable (ex: it could all be saltwater) it's not much (Vänern)

That’s clearly me after a day at the beach; you can clearly see my nipples, my question is how the mods miss it (lol)

We gotta get to it before Nestle does!

Why this is important: #1 We gotta drink water to survive. If there's water there, we don't have to take it with us. #2 We gotta breathe to survive. If you apply an electric current to water, you get Oxygen and Hydrogen. They're the Hs and O in H2O. #3 Hydrogen can be used in a variety of ways to make life nicer, and possibly even as fuel for fusion generators.

Dead magnetic field. If we could figure out how to restart that and stabilize it, would could fix our own too.

It was known for many many years that there is frozen water on Mars. That there is frozen water on top of the biggest mountain of Mars is not relevant to the reasons you mentioned.
AnyUsernameWillDoForMe
What about location? The poles are where the ice is in bulk. If we wanna do agriculture the poles probably aren’t the best spots.
Adester
Agriculture on mars? I can understand that people dream about a short visit on Mars, but agriculture is wild out of scope...
theduckening
Agriculture most likely yeah. But there's probably greenhouse cultivation experiments early on to see the effects of Marsian soil on plants.
AnyUsernameWillDoForMe
If you wanna live there you’re gonna have to grow something. You will of course need an enclosed environment.
