This scene right here is what made me want to be a animator.

I got to see Ghost in the Shell (along with Iria: Zeiram the Animation) many a years ago on SciFi channel. It was during a block they called Saturday Anime. It was late at night (maybe 10p to 2a I believe) they would show it (along with other Anime's, with heavy editing). I remember begging to stay up to see it that night. Where I lived (Florida) SciFi was a pay for channel in it's starting days. But for Georgia it was part of the normal cable package. My Grandmother lived up there, and my family lived down here. So it was a treat to get to watch it when we where seeing her.
I remember my teen brain being blown away by the Major (and for Iria also). But while sitting there in one of the spare bedrooms of the house, mouth wide open. It was then, at this scene right here, that I knew I wanted to be a animator. Just the real look of it. Hand drawn art with a touch of CGI blew my mind.
I never got to be a animator (major Hand and Eye Surgery's took that away), but I still love this scene.
My word of advice to anyone and everyone that reads this. Follow your dreams, and keep going for it.

When I first saw this movie back in the day, it literally took my breath away. I know exactly how you feel. Sorry about your dream.
