There is an (imho) xlnt Doctor Who ep "Blink" in which character named Sally Sparrow, a young woman who becomes embroiled in the mystery of the Weeping Angels, and the Doctor, who is trapped in the past and communicates with Sally through cryptic messages. All about the philosophy of time travel.

The direction might be the same but the speed of our perceived time is slightly different, since our bodies and brains are affected by gravity of objects and the speed of things around us.
