That's not a bad idea. Honestly, I just draw them out as I go. This is a simple enough design. For more complex things, I like to spread different circuits across multiple pages and then index them with a block diagram.
We did this in the Air Force for training purposes. It really makes everything pop and some can pick up on the concept faster because. A few made it out to permanent sites that were unnecessarily complex, laminated slapped right on whatever for a quick reference guide.
