Last year I had a super bad reaction to a new medication that resulted in debilitating gut issues. The silver lining was that it resulted in me losing about 60 lbs over a few months, which I needed to do anyways since I was a bit overweight (around 220-230 lbs). Now that the health issue has finished healing I would like to continue losing a bit more weight and stay in better shape.
To that end I'm planning on getting some ≈5 lbs weights to keep at my desk at work so I can do some simple exercises during my lunch breaks to lose weight (in addition to eating healthier). Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations of what to look for or what brands to stay away from?

Try some physical therapy bands. Fairly cheap. You can work all kinds of muscles just about anywhere (not recommended for job interviews)

If you're just getting little 5lb dumbbells, I don't think brand matters.

I wouldn't think brand matters much for that type of weight, but I figured I'd ask anyways just in case anyone has had issues like being difficult to keep them clean or them falling apart too easily.
