remember that little buddy? it was a great and fine messanger.
Then someone decided it needs aditional features no one really asked for, like annoying "emoticons" and games. And the core feature got more and more unstable (connection servers were offline more and more frequent).

imgur a few days ago added this and my head instantly Uh Oh'd in old fashion ICQ Style

happens to any app/website/product. It's why I consider Discord currently being at its peak; can't imagine they will be able to continue this path. Whereas Teamspeak and Steam stayed stable by being (exceeding) slow and careful with new features

I saw my first discord ad earlier today. Guess it's time to figure out where I'll be going next before it starts getting really bad.

Never left ts. Discord ia like a bloatware of a forum that incorporates voice but both is mesa in it
bobbobbybobbington
what was the discord ad? 🤔
ThatPug
I don't remember what it was for (intentionally), but it was literally a popup in the lower right hand of discord that was advertising *something* with a link. I was able to dismiss it this time but it's definitely a harbinger of worse to come.

advertising imgur you mean?

It was just recently brought to desktop, but has been a thing in general for longer

Hm, kay... Maybe it's me, but I seriously don't remember that icon showing up that long ago. Was it mobile-only at first?
