awesome

Wait! We didn't make it to the end of the track. Where's the rest of the video, dammit!?!

looks like Scalextric, judging by the position of the rails relative to the slot

4 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I can smell the hot electric motor.

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hey can I come over and play

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd be extra mad he didn't invite me over to come play...

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What are you doing texting him when you could be racing that sweet track?!

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's so fucking cool!

4 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Even muted I can hear this!

4 days ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

I can smell it. I remember reading it was ozone from the electric motors.

Actually it is a women's rights topic that somehow men have extra rooms to do manly stuff in but women don't. Started long before Virginia Woolves "A Room of Ones Own". Why? Because its a core method of patriarchy to sustain itself that men take up space. Manspreading in the subway. Roads. Bigger cars. Bodily dimensions. Interrupting, speaking longer. Even non physically through hollering & noisy vehicles.

I'd still be mad that he hasn't texted me. Why has he not invited me over to play with this?

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bloody hell that's impressive. I bought a giant bin of slot car tracks for my son and I to enjoy, but when when I got home with it, there was only one functioning car and it wasn't designed for all of the tracks that were in there. Unfortunately we don't have hobby shops here that carry this sort of stuff any more, and I have been unable to find a pair of suitable replacement cars so my son and I can enjoy the slot car tracks together.

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Have you managed to identify which brand of track you've got?

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They're all the old Aurora / Tyco / Tomy style tracks with the really thin rails. I've tried using some of the more modern ones with the scalextric type rails, but the magnets aren't strong enough to hold them on through the loops or the sideways tracks. I've tried peeking onto ebay but all the cars I'm finding seem to be collector's type stuff, so high prices and not something you'd want to trust an autistic 11yo to run off the tracks at high speed

I had Tomy AFX as a kid and the magnets were crap then. There's AFX Racing (afxracing.com) which looks like it's been spun out at some point and might be backwards compatible. The cars are still in production as it looks like they've switched to brushless motors.

If I had that set-up, I wouldn't be texting you either.

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That girl looks like she doesn’t have a nose. Just nostrils.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One of the main reasons why he isn't texting you is because his phone is a communication device, not an electronic leash he's constantly chained to. If he doesn't want to talk to you, even over text, you need to respect that.

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Even if it's just that he doesn't want to talk *right now*. He's a person with free will who can choose when he engages in conversation.

4 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Sheeeet! I loved slot cars as a kid, never really thought of something like this existing lol

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Add street lights to that setup and keep at it until daylight.

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Go ahead, accuse him of being an incel.
He doesn’t really care.

That's some F-Zero shit right there and I love it.

4 days ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

4 days ago | Likes 289 Dislikes 4

If I won the lottery I wouldn’t tell anyone, but there would be signs…

4 days ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Googled. $100 for 2 cars, 2 controllers and 19ft of track. 62ft $350.

4 days ago | Likes 66 Dislikes 1

That is a ridiculous estimate, many of those things are hard to find. It is also a ridiculous track but I am sure his son or grandson has s lot of fun watching it for 5-15 minutes straight.

Just kidding, you keep a trreasure like this private!

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Jfc, that would be like $30 when I was a kid.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hundreds even when it was new.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's a lot of track.

4 days ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Well.. I bought 3 Carrera sets second hand and also a few bags full of track for a total of about €80... If I remember correctly, I should be around 30 metres of track - so a bit more than 90 feet.

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Somehow cheaper than you'd think, and yet at the same time... that's so freakin' much to spend on something this nutty!

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

5 grand for time off work to assemble and gas to go buy. The rest is emotional value.Well worth it

4 days ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

4 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

4 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh wait... you weren't talking about the little cars, you were talking about the big ones lol

4 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Then the car pops off the track in that far back corner....

4 days ago | Likes 177 Dislikes 3

Twas my thought as well

4 days ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Just put a new car on the track Use an electro magnet on a fishing pole. This is epic, and I'll not have your negativity sir/madam!

4 days ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

I had a silver car that had super strong magnets. That thing took some effort to take off the track!

4 days ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

One stumble and you break 20 connectors 🫣

4 days ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1
