As per my last comment….

Original stand

… I cut one stand the length down, chopping of about 2cm then tried to fit it in. Perfect fit, no need to cut both sides!
I thought this was the easiest way, so I grabbed the reciprocal saw and went at it. The cut isn’t the straightest but I knew someone would need something to bitch about.

Also added padlocks

With a little chopping and drilling, worked out good.

Mainly hobby woodworking, I already have some tools, my son wants to do some metalwork

My son is a trained “Industriemechaniker” with further training as “Techniker” , so I’m sure I can learn stuff from him
