A much needed laugh

I am finally rewatching Star Trek - The next generation.
I am now @ Season 4 Episode 2 Darmok.
It has been a long, long time since i saw it but i still remember the jist of it.
I heard the beginning of the (essentialy doomed ) conversation between the two captains. Knowing what i know, i could not stop laughing at the absurdity.
From the POV of the Tamarian Captain, Picard was practically ranting meaningless words to him.
And Captain Picard was similarly confused, because his counterpart was talking in fractions of stories and phrases he could not possibly have known.

And whilst Picard was talking, they cut over to the Tamerian Bridge. I saw the above expressions and almost wet myself from laughter.

Life is hard and the last year has brought many a tear, but this one got me bursting with laughter.
