VLSI Simple Processor

Sep 17, 2021 1:33 PM

It’s pretty difficult to photograph any of the work I do, so here’s a picture of the final VLSI design I made for a Master’s Computer Engineering course.
It’s a simple processor that accepts instructions, can perform simple arithmetic, and output a result. Built entirely out of 35nm CMOS technology.

I did an 8 bit RISC proc in VLSI 25 yrs ago. Doesn't look like the program has changed much.

If it fails, it can also be plans for an apartment complex. 3 elevators a laundry room and a nice little terasse in the upper left corner.
