So many questions!
Wasps are beneficial insects and that nest is in a tall tree, so why do this at all?
Were they murder hornets?
Why isn’t the tree catching fire?
Isn’t this rather extreme?
Is this even real?
Why does this fascinate me?

If someone tried to have a BBQ or put cat food outside, those things will fucking swarm. Wasps go can be beneficial elsewhere.

Looks like a rather dreary wet day so likely just after a rain. Trees don’t catch fire as easy as you’d think especially when wet.

Have you not seen that documentary "Terminator" giving a machine a flamethrower is a very bad idea.

Do wasps understand why they are burning to death? Do we understand why they want to sting us to death? Same answer.

I don’t know how this is safe? Like it looks like late fall or winter, but still. We had been in a burn ban here until very recently.

This close to a residence, they're still a nuisance and should be removed

Yeah, let's remove all trees everywhere.

I don't like this either. Wasps are the Spartans of the bee world.

What could possibly go wrong here?

I had heard bee hives had drones, but I didn't realise they could throw flames too. Amazing creatures.

What a world we live in! Can we take a moment to just forget all the shit out there and just appreciate this Marvel of modern technology?!
