I've been trying to force myself outside more - make sure I'm getting my sun exposure and getting out of my head at the same time. Photography helps - especially macro since there's a lot to see if you just look for it.

My autoimmune condition is frequently triggered by stress - and flare ups mean depression, fatigue, brain fog...

It's frustrating when you do all the right things, but still get flare ups. Anyway...

I know these suckers absolutely decimate tomato plants, but he was just so cool looking... so I let him chow down.

Our neighbor's vines grow over our fence and I can't say I'm mad.

We've had a bunch of mimosa pudica start growing amongst our groundcover, but I have no idea where it came from.

This little dude was trying to have beef with a much much smaller anole. I wish I got the shot with his dewlap, but alas... he put it away as soon as he saw me.

The lacewing larvae are crazy, strutting around in their little scavenged trash costumes.

Side eye from a spiny lizard.

I don't like killing wasps - the ones surrounding our house are docile paper wasps who both pollinate and help keep the pests down on plants.
BUT... they must have spread the word because this year's inhabitants have grown from maybe 5-6 nests last year, to probably 20+ this year, and some in highly inconvenient places. We have to be cautious when we water because they are literally everywhere. Still not killing them, though.
