Very rude concept...
The middle is the void/point zero where the big bang happened.
All matter got displaced, here it would be some thing like some kind of torus or sphere around the "explosion"
The matter and time with it would create some kind "convection current" making time happening slower across the middle of the "torus" shape, while the faces facing outside could be happening on a faster pace...
The overall shape and middle gap would/should keep getting bigger and bigger.
Even if it does not make any sense, I liked how at the end it looked like some kind of virus xD
