#6 No, but I remember the pizza my uncle ordered when we visited him when I was like 15 from the local gas station out in the sticks, closest pizza for 20 miles.
They did it all with fresh ingredients they bought and prepared themselves, made the dough themselves, even made the sauce.
It was the greatest pizza I've ever had. I'm 40 now.
#22 Once Upon A Time, you could get SunDrop in either Coke or Pepsi branded machines. It outsold everything by such a large factor in some areas that the machine vendors would always include it.
Nothing, really. It's still a regional thing. Note that Diet Sun Drop was, until the trend of high-caffeine drinks became popular, the strongest drink around (68mg per 12oz); I know a LOT of people who used to drink Diet Sun Drop instead of coffee.
my best guess would be, as there seems to be a trend of it, either the people in charge decided to over extend somethign and it failed hard. or someone died and the new person in charge did the dumb thing. OR maybe a recipe change and no one liked it anymore
Not a sandwich, but I've never discovered the source of the chicken nuggets they gave us in the elementary school cafeteria or what oil they're fried in. I can never replicate the taste and crunchiness. No fast food place has a similar recipe or texture. Everybody kept saying "they're just Tyson nuggets from the big bag."
We had the best chicken nuggets in high school. They were locally produced and just fantastic. However, the plant fire that killed a lot of students' parents and other family members ended that - as it should! We were all more devastated for our fellow students than about not having the nuggets.
I think the coffee was from the brand, Intelligentsia. Almond milk was my milk of choice. The coffee itself was rich and had an almost toffee flavor to it. Damned good. That place would be a main reason to return to DC.

#6 I moved from Wilmington Delaware to Boston and I miss Philly cheesesteaks, in general. Not the same without the Amoroso roll.

#24 I take my evening meds with a Cycling Frog high potency THC lemonade.
EmptyWeird
Does it taste good? I've not found a THC drink that actually tastes good
cmdshift3
No. But you get used to it. It’s kinda like a cocktail that’s you have to acquire a taste for, except being high is better than being drunk.

#35 and wouldn't be surprised if #1 was too, since most of those raccoon pics are, and that one doesn't seem to have a source.

#4 This is true, but the Aldi brands are usually better than the name brands.
Twice as good and half the price.

Looking at the map again, yeah, that's Saginaw area

Jackson?
drduffer
Way too far north for Jackson.
DietCokeIsMyDrugOfChoice
Yeah. I haven't lived there in a long time so I'm bad at recalling exactly where things are up there anymore.

#6 Not a sandwich. There is a latte I think about semi-frequently from Baked & Wired in DC. It stopped me in my tracks with how delicious it was.
A local place came close to the taste. But, damn. I think about that latte and want more. #fwp

I remember the sloppy joe I was eating at camp when someone told a joke and I laughed and a piece of ground beef came out my nose
Emiloo74
Oh, god. That would be brutal. I have sprayed cola out of my noise from laughing. Dear baby cheese and rice!!!

Stories like this make me terrified of the "industry will self regulate" mentality of the current admin.

Yeah. The regulations are written in blood and other viscera. Alas, these dumb, privileged fucks don't care.
