I feel it’s a reach that a 2 second clip of music is sampled from anything. I will paraphrase “Do not attribute to Maliciousness when coincidences (or stupidity) more likely could apply.”
That same sound is in an old video game called Terranigma. I think it was part of the overworld music. If they did sample from somewhere, I'd think it would be that since it was closer time wise.
I've been trying to look that up, actually. On the official pages, there's no credit given to John Barry, the original composer. And on their Wikipedia esque website, Linkinpedia, all it says is this: In 2023, Mike added, ""Faint" for example, it was written as a string melody. Then we hired a string group to come play it, then we sampled that."
Whenever sampling or alterations come up I always think of Ship of Theseus.
Mind you, I still think credit is important even if it is just a passing inspiration. But credit has to be clear about how critical a part of the creation process it was. Don’t over or under attribute.

Whenever sampling adjusted to create new music comes up, I think of the Avalanches.
