If it helps reduces anxiety, it may help to simply accept that in every case, the worst possible option WILL be taken by Trump and his ilk. That way you can spend all that energy that WOULD have been spent on speculating about the future and instead spend it on things that you CAN have an effect on, such as your local community, friends, and family.
