How do I go about fixing the curvature? This is a 27" flat crt from Sansui.
Edit: I've done a little more tweaking in the service menu and done some research about flat CRTs and have come to the conclusion that since this is a low end model (about $200 when I bought it in '08/'09) that I'm probably not going to get it any better than I have.
Flat tubes just don't have as good geometry as a curved tube, it seems.Plus, my reflection in the glass seems to warp when I look at it closely.
I don't notice most of the imperfections when I'm playing Gran Turismo or GTA3, and I'm just happy to have a massive CRT to play older games. S-Video and Composite for the win.

Horizontal pincushion is easy enough (give or take where and how the adjustments are made, if any?), but vertical pincushion has me stumped. Supply voltage or HV variation during a scan line? Seems unlikely. Magnets? Maybe, but it wouldn't affect all color beams uniformly.

Honestly, I'd try Reddit for this one. R/crtgaming is a great resource with a lot of people who fix this type of issue themselves

Some monitors have a degausing function, or have adjustments you can fix either by controls or really teeny dials on the board inside.

If the menu does not have convergence adjustment settings then you might be out of luck, or you might need to open it and see if there are adjustable components (like variable inductors, capacitors and resistors)

degauss the screen. or have fun with magnets

Magnets? How do they fucking work?
Gindipple
Move em back and forth near the CRT to simulate what a degaussing coil does, just a lot harder to do it that way

Yes. I was making the ubiquitous Insane Clown Posse joke.
