Update: Texas GOP leaders launched a DPS “tip line” to hunt House Democrats, but they still failed to pass the gerrymander in the first special session. The House is poised to adjourn with no map, and Abbott says he’ll call another special session to try again. We’ll keep watching the tip-line stunt and the next round -- share this so people know where the pressure points are.

877-979-7444 is the actual UFO reporting number.

800 CALLSPY is the number you call if you’ve been approached by an operative of a foreign government.

Is there not some kind of online auto dialer thing setup to target foreign scammer numbers? I thought I saw one a while back that you just put the number in and they get flooded with calls but I can't find it now.

On totally unrelated note: using "AWS Connect", you can have your own "virtual callcenter" with automation and industrial "outbound dialing" for a few bucks...

Usually those numbers aren't really theirs these days. They can spoof local numbers so it looks like it's coming from some random stranger in your town. Enter that number in and you're fucking some innocent person.

Yep, all the spam calls I get now are "local". Funny part is, they tend to have the correct city listed, but the zip codes tend to be from parts of the state *hours* away, so they're still easy to spot. That said, I'm sure that same tech could be (and I am NOT suggesting it should be, I would *never*) pretty easily used to flood their rat line with fake info, or maybe the addresses of the R state reps or something. Just a random thought, with no action behind it...
