I have ''worked'' in the world's most boring office in the world for almost 28 years, and most of that time was spent napping at a convenient toilet cubicle.

They work really well if the toilet paper holder is at a food height it acts as a nice pillow.

I have done this at several jobs working nights or weekend shifts. Shockingly under the desk was more comfortable than in the car, and if the phone rang I wouldn't miss it.

George was built for the WFH environment of today. No cleaning ladies to distract him either.

OSHA only applies to companies with 11 or more employees.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Only partially true, they still have to follow regulations. But there's some kind of paperwork to do with injury they don't have to worry about. Some low-risk businesses don't get inspected often/if at all, so they may cut corners.

There are other programs for companies with less than 11 employees.

It's a management style based on moving around the workplace and interacting with employees in a less formal/structured manner than you get in a meeting. Good for understanding employee issues.

The management by wandering around, also management by walking around, refers to a style of business management which involves managers wandering around, in an unstructured manner, through their workplace at random, to check with employees, equipment, or on the status of ongoing work ( -from Wikipedia) doesn't seem to be American english, and that's okay.

I keep rereading it hoping it will make sense. It doesn't.

Yup that would have helped because I would have known it was a “thing” I can look up lol

I was once betrayed napping in a rather constricted space by my snoring. The work was finished, I just didn't want to tell them yet.

Let me guess, scab oilfield work? Naps are nice but I've seen how easily lease operators & "contractors" will let you get brutally maimed or killed(if you're lucky ) god damn ive seen enough shit to know that it don't matter who you are or what you do, the scab outfits out there may or may not just end up killing you any which way .... Funny part is that I said never again just cause I knew being gay around oilfield trash is pants on head stupid. 1/

Navy. When they insist everyone is awake for cleaning stations regardless of their operational schedule or watch rotation, they should be happy I managed to stay awake for the important things

My Uncle has the proud title of being the only family member to be fired from the family business, because my grandma caught him sleeping on the job.

Yet Dale Earnhardt Sr was the one fired after "sleeping on the job"... too soon?

Ouch, someone did not like your joke. How is an abortion and dark comedy similar: they never grow old.
