Yeah he's a psychic space Nazi, but what the no hint of sadism. I wish he did more episodes but there was bad blood between productions as some actors ditched recurring roles to be on the other series.
Several of his DS9 deaths were comedy gold. Best one is when Worf dropped him in the middle of being interrogated and Dumar taunted his next clone about it for the rest of the episode. "Maybe you should go talk to Worf again."
Im not familiar with this actor, or Star Trek and I only skimmed the title, so I spent an inordinate amount of time staring at the first photo and wondering what medical condition this man who shot his daughter had...
Nothing credited, both his daughters have done other various movies and shows though. One of them plays the sister in the folgers incest coffee ad! So that's a fun fact!
The first 35 seconds is the real ad, then someone added a joke version to continue on the theme. Different actors there though. https://youtu.be/fhfcWTZeP1k
Sometimes people share their passion for actors and it just reminds me how much amazing art I still haven't seen. I checked both those guys' IMDB and I have never seen anything either of them have ever done.
There was a stretch of the 80s through early 00s where almost every sci-fi show could almost guarantee to feature one or both of them. Wish we had more!
There was a certain cadre of Vancouver actors, Heyerdahl among them, who seemed to pop up in EVERYTHING filmed there. Heyerdahl, Ryan Robbins, Mike Dopud, Kavan Smth, Jill Teed, Steve Bacic...
Yeah haha, reason I'm so hyped on Heyerdahl at the moment is I'm nearing the end of my usual SG-1/SG-A/SG-U marathon.. and omg you spot the same actors playing side characters throughout all three shows its hilarious..
Oh yeah. Stargate was really coming out of that era when shows could get away with more of that, when there was no IMDB and barely anyone was binge-watching. They weren't the only offenders though; Star Trek has cast Jeffrey Combs so many times that it's actually a meme.
He's in other things besides Star Trek.. but yes, that's what he's most famous for. Both him and Heyerdahl are unrivaled at not just playing a variety of different characters, but each one immediately grabs your focus and attention.. masters of subtle AND grand expression.. love em both
I had to look him up.. Robot Jox was one of my absolute favorite dumb movies as a kid! haha otherwise, not my scene.. One popular film I always think of his role in is The Frighteners, but thats Peter Jackson
Heyerdahl is incredibly good at playing disturbingly unhinged maniacs. Like seriously so slept on. The Swede? Amazing. Alastair in that one ep of Supernatural? Incredible. That one cop in Peacemaker? So fuckin good.
Yes.. Todd the Wraith is one of his best roles. The show he REALLY shines in is Sanctuary with captain doctor carter.. he plays 2 MAIN characters and several other bad guy / monster roles

nice Re-animator

Saw him in Babylon 5 the other day and nearly spat out my cereal.

Jeffrey Combs is the best, especially as the Question.
SansAandAnguS
He was good as Shran too.
CorgisButtsDriveMeNuts
What, I just found out that he's 70 years old? :O

Man, it must be traumatic watching your dad die on screen, like, a Sean Bean amount of times.

My favorite actor ^-^ Thank you for posting

Andorian Jeff is my favorite character in the universe. Garak is second.
NedGentz
One of my very favorite Star Trek actors.

He’s at least 3 of my top 10 favorite characters from Star Trek!

I will never not upvote Jeffrey Combs

I did not know it was possible to like Jeffrey Combs any more, but now I know it is. Thank you.

Watch him in onyx the fortuitous and the talisman of souls and you may

Why do the pictures look so old? DS9 is not that old...
*Checks IMDb*....
NM, carry on...

Good thing she wasn't on the set of From Beyond or Reanimator
RefurbishedArcReactor
His daughter in these photos is played by Jeffrey Combs.
tinydog
BorkasonBork
He played a klingon pilot also.
Vergenbuurg
AGIMUS, as well.
v
StunttheRunt
He also played Janeway on an episode of Voyager once. He was her lizard version. He also played Tom Paris in the same episode at the same time.
For commitment he actually had sex with himself playing both parts. Robert Beltran's reaction is genuine.
thrael
oh god.. you had me in the first half
AnAverageBoxEnthusiast
god damn. hes got range

His take on Shran, and he and Archer's friendship arc on Enterprise was utterly brilliant
KorbinX
I wish that fifth season had actually existed.
fractalsphere
Did his daughter actually play a Bajoran kid on the show? That'd be awesome
medimr
Dunno. They could have just put the makeup on her for some fun while her dad was getting his done.
Gelantious
Nothing credited, both his daughters have done other various movies and shows though. One of them plays the sister in the folgers incest coffee ad! So that's a fun fact!

Weird lol. Thank you for the clarification mate
Darjanator
I'm surprised he didn't play his own daughter.
TheStealthHippopotamus
Are we sure he didn’t?
VictusVonGuyver
She's a successful actress now and she is the bedroom eyes sister in the Folgers Coffee ad.
drw16
adorable! love jeffrey combs, would love to lower weyoun into a woodchipper feet first
dangerspouse
Oh, my. That is quite shreddy, isn't it?
SoGrosslyIncandescent
It's a testament to his acting ability that he's played so many characters I love and so many characters I love to hate.

It's so crazy, I know Combs plays both Weyoun and Brunt, but I just can't link them in my mind! That's a testament to his acting skills.

She even got a Bajoran face prosthetic! Cute!
CypherJunky
That’s adorable. ❤️❤️
Medellei
Looks a little sharp, smooth, and too high onto the forehead to be Bajoran though? Looks closer to a Cardassian prosthetic missing the spoon.
LupusLilium
Probably a prosthetic designed for another cast member, so it wouldn't have been designed to fit a visiting child properly.
zenoshogun

prosthetic? star trek is real and she's bajoran.

I'll inform Janeway she'll have to work overtime on this one
ElbowDeepInAJedi
I now assume his daughter plays 17 different characters as well.

She is the Folder's coffee incest sister.
TheStealthHippopotamus
Are we sure he’s not also playing the role of his daughter?!!

Jeffrey Combs and Christopher Heyerdahl are forever linked in my mind as the greatest character actors in sci fi

What does that have to do with them being good actors.

Good question, the surprising answer is that I replied to the wrong comment

Brad Dourif as well.

Fuck yes I have...hugely underrated movie. Never looked at a pineal gland the same after that movie.

Doug Jones is up there for me too.
thrael
Yes! ok I revise it to include him, completing a trifecta
WizBardBarian
Doug is the top for me, they ran so he could fly, but all 3 are incredible. Sci-Fi wouldn't be so accepted today without them
aclarko
Do you mean Baron Afanas? Or one of the other 100 characters he did?
aclarko
I wanted to post a gif, but the gif support in imgur sucks

Honestly loved him in what we do in the shadows but that man has haunted me since buffy

AFAIK Jeffrey Combs played the most roles in the Star Trek universe.

One of his roles that disturbed me (which is exactly what I want from a good actor lol)
