Why I Find Quirks Interesting (lengthy analysis)

From the outside MHA looks like almost any another Shounen show, but when you really get in to it, you realise that isn't the case. The show is always subverting normal shounen troupes in really fun & original ways.

But what i find most interesting about this show are the individual quirks each character possesses. Quirks play a big role in the world building and the story of MHA.

Each person thoroughly recognizes the weaknesses and the strong points of their own quirks and thus try to improve upon the information they get from using them. For instance, Midoriya.

His quirk, One for all, shatters his bones whenever he tries to use it, so to prevent that he either uses it strategically by focusing one for all on a small portion of his body or he tries to mentally and physically avoid shattering his body through sheer willpower.

This allows for some great character development and experimental fight scenes that help further expand upon the idea that everyone still has room to grow and that having a strong quirk does not guarantee you being a great hero.

Sometimes quirks are treated like a part of someone that they hate passionately. Which is quite true in Todoroki's case since he completely rejects and resents his fathers quirk whilst uses his mothers quirk.

Which indicates that humans no longer see quirks as things that just so happened to manifest inside them, however instead view them as something that is apart of them and have feelings towards them whether they be negative or positive.

Each and everyone has their own unique quirks that are suitable for various situations and vise versa. Its fun to watch how people with weak quirks such as Mineta, use their quirk to their advantage through strategy, observation of their oponents quirks and their surroudings.

All in all quirks are awesome and as the story goes on, they get even more interesting. This certainly wont be my last post talking about MHA, so if you want more, do consider leaving an upvote and a comment asking me what i should talk about next.
