Rapid double blink

console

xbox

Found this for you: Why is my Xbox light double flashing?
Two flashing lights: Your console may be too hot and not cooling down properly. (So try giving it a good vacuum on all the vents, it's amazing how much dust they attract) Good luck.

It's morse code for "I’m sorry, Dave. I’m afraid I can’t do that."

That flashing light actually indicates that the console is checking for and downloading content (game/app) updates before shutting down the console.

Cause it's filthy

It feels dirty and wishes for a bath... so unplug the xbox, fill the bathub with some nice soapy water, light some candles and put flower petals on the floor so it can go in there in a romantic way and feel some love from you. Or maybe... set it back to factory settings and hope that it still works, but the stain on top of the box... let's say i am concerned if it works.

It's not from liquid, the Xbox has been in 2 smokers households. I've taken a vacuum to it and cleaned out the vents twice already

It's failed, the same as the red ring of death from the 360 era but Microsoft doesn't make it red anymore because of PR.

May have to do with, I’m guessing here, the gigantic stain on top of it? Or it’s scanning for life.

P sure that's just a Hella clogged up vent. Which is also likely the reason for the blinking, aka overheating warning.
