They've streamlined so much of it, revamped the beginning, made getting certain things easier. It's very new/returning player friendly.

It's a game that's built around its grind. If you don't like the grind, there's not much point in playing it. It's gotten a lot of Quality of Life changes in recent years, but it's still a game about grinding.
