My daughter gave me a treasure hunt for Father's Day. She created her own substitution cipher and wrote clues using invisible ink that I needed a black light to see. It guided me to a locked bin that had two combination locks on it.
The rest of the clues pointed me all around the house and each clue had a country name on it. This one I found in the attic next to the Halloween decorations.
She even included a 404 ERROR
The country names corresponded to invisible, encoded digits on a big map in my office.
Plenty of false numbers to keep me from guessing the combinations too soon.
She did a lot of work to encode each clue, and it was so fun to do. I am so super proud of her and love her to death!!
The treasure chest contained plastic gems, plastic gold coins, chocolate gold coins, sweatpants, a Jack Skelington lanyard and what treasure chest wouldn't be complete without rum?
She did good!!
