Wood fossil

This is the same piece as in the reddit post. Petrified by red sandstone and found lying around at selangor beach, Malaysia. Regional rock formation dates to late pleistocene to holocene

Same piece as above, backside. This side is exposed to the environment originally hence the smoother texture.

Australian five cent for relative size. About 1.941cm for the coin itself.

The the pieces was originally one big piece but I broke it off out of dissatisfaction of not seeing enough wood striation.
