A year ago I have posted some map work of mine, hoping to progress, apply as dev for level design and generally just get better at what I am doing.

Today I am an active developer (Level design) for a game and I am super excited.

Progress has been made.

Visible and behind the obvious, speaking in terms of optimizations and Know-hows.

Tiny steps at a time.

But constant progress.

And a space map (This is a round "arena" for a space themed mod map i made.)

Thank you for checking out my post and I hope you enjoyed this little gallery.

If you are curious what game then you can poke in here:

Other than that I hope you have a good day/night!

Amazing skill. I'd love to spend some VR time in those landscapes!

Looks good OP! I'm wondering what's your process to get there, level design wise, do you blockout the area or plan it on paper?

Thanks! And I actually do not. I usually just get told what needs t obe in the map, Biomes and points of interest. Then I simply start.

It goes from: Creating the landscape in world creator -> Placing the rough biome borders on the map -> Filling the biomes.

I know I would be obsessed with Unreal Engine if I had the discipline to sit down and figure it out

Very cool. I loved the map maker on farcry 1(I think) on first xbox... I know it's not really the same thing... but kinda

Worlds within worlds

+1 for the title alone. It sounds like you found your domain.

So how many places can you glitch out and fall into the void? It's my fav bug and always laugh myself silly if it makes it into a big game..

#12 seems like the chins are doing more than being blurry :P Might just be snuggling, I know.

@op sorry if this comes off as selfish, but could you do a SolarPunk world? That would look beautiful!

You are now in my Desktop-Picture-Folder.

Really nice. Have you seen the GDC talk by Guerilla Games on how they made the land, foliage, etc for Horizon and optimised it?

Gimme some real RTX and sufficient occlusion culling, and I'll love you forever.
