Like if you switch between making sandwiches and making drinks. Cross contamination would occur, so you have to wash your hands.

Yeah, like if you're taking out the garbage and cleaning something gross, then changing to putting away clean dishes and silverware or something. Avoid contamination.

I guess that example fits under "touching dirty surfaces" but the idea is if you're switching between task types, you don't wanna move bacteria, allergens, products (like cleansers or polishes) to places where they can harm people.
