Great file made by Zeiram on CGTrader. This one was not a free file, but it was very reasonably priced. I printed it in matte PLA and it came out really smooth for the most part. I did a ton of sanding to remove the step lines and any layer lines so I could get the encounter suit smooth and shiny.
I didn't duplicate the Kosh paint exactly, but I think it still looks pretty good!
This was a lot of fun to paint! I took a few liberties and added some metallic blue around the neck, some metallic gold to the front 3 tubes and a hint of metallic purple to the back ridges and side tubes. I think it gives the ambassador a bit of a regal appearance.
I've already printed a Vorlon ship to display with this. Just need to get the base printed, mount this guy, then paint and attach thew ship.

You want to know something horrific? So the CGI animators were telling JMS about the development of the ships. For the texture of the Shadow ships, the artist needed something but couldn't find something good in existing textures. So while looking at his dog, he realized.. the dog's nose. He scanned his dog's nose in and the texture at it's base is a dog's nose.
JMS was horrified that 'his heroes were being chased by giant dog noses'

#5 If you drilled correctly you could probably fit some tuneable white LEDs to each one of those eye holes.

I was thinking about dabbing a touch of uv paint in each of the Shadow's eyeholes so they would only be visible under a black light. Maybe do the inside of the vorlon ships wings with blue uv paint too.

It's so wonderful and janky and cheesy and masterful at the same time.
Just the fact alone that they accounted for the possibility that actors might leave over the 5 year period, by introducing an assistant or second in command that can take over for every major figure, is production genius. Too bad it hit the wrong role too early for that, so they had to introduce a new character to fill for Sinclair. I still wonder if Ivanovas role was originally intended as the contingency plan for >

Michael O’ Hara was struggling with mental illness during season 1. It was so bad that Michael Strackzynski reworked the story line. It was the season 3 finale that his character came back to finish the story arch.

I know. But you can already see arks set up in season 1 that are transferred to Sheridan. Like the ex-wife thing that comes into play much later and the special relationship with the Minbari. I think they saved this one well. I just wonder, because they had set (almost) every important character up with a sidekick that could take over. Three (?) left. O'Hara got schizophrenia and Ivanova didn't step in. Talia left, but had no replacement, so they rehired the Lyta from the pilot episode. And >

Garibaldi for season 5, so his second in command stepped up. (No idea of Garibaldis actor left or if his arch was planned that way.)
So i'm wondering, was it too early to have Ivanova step up or was Ivanova already too established in her role in the grand scheme? Or was Ivanova never the back up for Sinclair in the first place?
