I'm currently polishing the later stages of my upcoming endless rhythm game, Cub8.
Stage 6 introduces a new mechanic where you need to pick up a key to unlock the middle cube.
Stage 7 challenges you to align the top face of your cube with the middle cube’s top face.
The final stage combines everything — all previous mechanics stacked together — with a constantly increasing BPM at every 10 presses.

I really like this game so please don’t think that my critique is being mean- I couldn’t make this by any means!
At about 0:13 in the video when the player activates the masher (I’m just making up vocabulary sorry if it’s the wrong name) the colors switch for a split second before the ‘mash’ action is complete- maybe you can tie the color change to the masher retraction animation instead of the activation? I’m just guessing as to why that could be happening- sorry if I’m wrong.
Maybe it >

Would be cool to have the countdown (the countdown at :32 seconds) be intrinsic to the cube? Like maybe the numbers are pixelated inside the cube itself as it moves, or maybe the faces of the cube turn black with each ‘step’…. starting with the center square, then the center 9, then center 25, etc?
But the player would probably be used to increasing complexity if this is a later level so if you think it’s good I agree.
It really is something to be proud of- I love ‘think fast’ games!

You could also add more complexity instead of just going faster- maybe a ‘color puddle’ that the player would have to get the cube to that would color the face of the cube that it touched before it could get to the ‘home’ square. Hide it in a maze of those directional chevrons- or maybe certain floor tiles are color specific, do not pass? Or maybe with the color puddles can be combined in simple color theory - like yellow & blue make green? Maybe the color puddles wear off?
Just excited for you
