I would be so scared to break the actual fossil!

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

With my luck I would have busted it into a million pieces if I even found one.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Something tells me you’re supposed to be a lot more careful with breaking away the rock, but hey, ya got it!

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have fossilized coral from the top of a mountain in the interior of British Columbia. Its amazing to realize that where I stood was ocean

They are retarded?

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

That made me want a pineapple ham pizza

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

God created those on day five

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wait, so the gummy worms was still in there?

Chocolates are like fossils, if you shop at the right place.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Praise Helix

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

For the less Rock inclined, how do you make sure you don't split in the middle of the fossil? Lucky guess?

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

How'd you know???!!

You mean someone always sneaks the best ones out of the bottom layer before you get there?

6 years ago | Likes 273 Dislikes 2

Those goddamn mole people, ruined my day AGAIN

6 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

It's what they train for, it's what they live for.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wouldn't it be freaky if someone found a fossil that was actually their ancestor!

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Instead of how they're always a great uncle's second cousin thrice removed

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

how do they know something is in there?

6 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 2

The prophecy was foretold.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You could see it sticking out.

6 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Satan told them.

6 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 1

Fossils are everywhere. Anywhere there's a lot of mud, there will be dead stuff in it, and that mud will someday be rock

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Just whack at the shale until something appears

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Archeologists can talk to rocks. Kind of like the horse whisperer but only with rocks

6 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Geologist :P Archeologists only talk to human made stuff. Like a horse whisperer but with really old people.

Get from here boy, with your proper definitions and know how. GET NOW!

Praise helix!

6 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

So wait, is that thing still alive? Or is it amber-coloured for another reason?

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I also thought it should be rock colored. I don't think it's a fossil if the original material persists. It's just a shell and an impression

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

i think its quartz

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

When they get "opalized" they are turned into a form of agate, which is a form of quartz, which is mostly SiO2

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The original shell is gone, having been crystallized by time/pressure. I think Contundo is right about it being quartz.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Every time that rock broke I flinched...

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

another ammonite fossil? whatever shale we do?

6 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 2

I thought his pick was a bit blunt for the job, but he was pretty good up to the last phase there.

6 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 4

Says the professional archaeologist "waluigihentai"

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's from the show Arrested Development

6 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s real

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

If it's on the internet, first assume it's fake. Then do some research, and check the history of any sources. Don't feed the trolls.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Unless it's political. In that case it's real and you are duty-bound to repost it. Also, the illuminati is real & jet fuel can't melt steel.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

True, true. In the case of political posts, it's a matter of "Are you seeing this too? I can't be the only one."

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This isn't real

6 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Damn makes me cringe alot. Real or not.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It’s from arrested development. But before I knew that, same reaction.

6 years ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 0

Oh thank god! I thought that was real.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did you know somebody pretty much did this with the skull of King Richard III of England when his remains were discovered a few years ago?

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

No the gaping hole in Richards Head was inflicted during the battle he died in.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Nope, the person excavating him put an axe through his skull.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Battle of Hastings 1066? I’m guessing I can’t remember.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The only source I can find to back me up is the Daily Fail website so I'm not going to link it, but I promise you it's true!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also if you watch this video, you can hear all about the wounds identified on his skeleton: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwrIka8x9_w
