On a side note, there is a condition called "Paris Syndrome" that occurs almost exclusively to Japanese people visiting France. It's basically where they become extremely disappointed when they realize that France sucks compared to how it was depicted to them their whole life up to that point.

I went to an underground McDonald's in Paris. I mean literally underground. I guess it was in a well explored part of their tunnel system.

They must have really high expectations of Paris, cos I've been a few times and it's always been great. Incredible Landmarks and great food.

Well, I live here. We are fine. Of course, we have no government, our president refuses to nominate a left-wing prime minister even though the left won last elections, our last African Allies prefer to be brainwashed by Russian than by us, Europe has a litigation with us for excessive deficit, everyone feels bitter and powerless, so I'd say, give me a good catacomb, so that I carve gargoyles all the way. At least, we have cheese. Bread and cheese are so good here.
pinkguyismyhero
the left didn't won the last elections, otherwise they would have got at least 50% of the votes, right? The left lost the last presidential election just by being divided and it keeps losing elections just by being divided . Once again the left is pretending to act for the country while they just act for themselves destroying the country more and more and weakening everything and that gives strength to the nazis.

They got the more voters, but in a divided country, it doesn't mean more than 50%. Previous prime minister was from a political party who got less than 5% of the votes. You may admit this is very weird democratically. Don't get me wrong, the left is divided and their leaders are selfish pricks. But the strength was given to the nazis by the one who claimed to be the central block, pushing anyone not agreeing with him towards extremes (right or left according to their reflexes).

We're ok, this is just normal stuff.
Oh and the tourists make the usual mistake of thinking taht Paris is all there is to see in france.
Visit Brittany, go visit Alsace, go visit the French Riviera... France has LOTS of different things to see.
FiftyShadesOfBroccoli
And lots of grumpy people who find tourists annoying as hell and can be just as rude as Parisians.

Paris is awful, yes I said that. But everywhere else in France you will find nice and welcoming people.

I remember a case many years ago where a waiter in Canada was fired for being excessively rude to customers. He sued the restaurant for discrimination, claiming that he is French and that being rude is part of his culture.
