One of my favourite moments from X-men was in one of the games, when Professor X is trapped in a mental world. And you have to fight through it to reach him, whereupon you tell him he's in a mental realm, and he goes "Oh? Is that so?". And stands up.
And then you have a boss fight playing as him, where he's completely broken, because someone tried to trap an incredibly powerful psychic in a world that can be effected by thought...
Yep, X-Men: Legends has a bit where you save Collussus' sister from the Astral Realm. I believe Jean Grey joins you by default, but then you can pick a 3rd character to go wth you. I think I chose Magma. The X-Men Legends and Marvel Ultimate Alliance games are some of my favourite 3D beat'em ups
This sounds awesome, especially that they give you a super overpowered character and just let it be OP as hell, because that makes perfect sense within that world.
Someone needs to make a comic with this girl and Charles just trolling EVERYONE in the mansion. Charles walks past the living room when everyone's in it without a word and they all do the 'Did you see that?!' look and then when he passes by again, he's in his wheelchair. He proceeds to drive them all crazy for the rest of the day.
How does anyone know that prof x isn't fucking with them all the time. Play a prank, then wipe your mind of the event. Hell, maybe he isn't even paralyzed from the waist down, he just wants his enemies to think he is.
Honestly, that picture is more of a reference to the time Ray pretended to be paralyzed, and during this rise Archer and Lana found him up a ladder. Though I think you're right, this is something Archer might say
He's been able to walk in the comics for awhile now. And he could off and on before that, too at various points. At this juncture, I think whatever X-Men see him strutting around out of the wheelchair would just go "ah, I guess it's Charles-can-walk season again! Time to change the Brita filter and windshield wiper blades."
isn´t it more that he can walk it just really difficult and exhausting for him. so been in a wheelchair is not to make him be constant dead tired plus he can´t really walk long distance.
They had four mutants, two whose powers had gotten super-boosted, and when spliced together with Cerebro Psychic backups (which this is the first time that was ever mentioned) can create clones. And somehow that also draws the spirit back from the afterlife, creating "true resurrection" not just duplicating. It double-sucks for Wolverine (original and X-23) because they need to get re-adamantium-laced each time.
Bonesaw and Panacea from Worm spring to mind. Web serial though, not a movie. Excellent read long as you like superheroes, are ok with reading about monumentally immoral uses of powers, and are ok with a main character whose dnd alignment is ultimately best described as "evil good"
They mean the power to heal OTHERS. The only character with that ability I remember is from the show "Heroes". Who was ironically a mob boss villain who used that power to exert control.
Yeah that's fine of course, I'm just saying if a character is fully all of the cliches, then its probably just bad writing. But if there's a few twists, its more interesting, and much easier to write unique stories instead of whats already been done. Superman I dont think is a bad character, but hes HARD to write for because its so easy to fall into a cliche. There's many cliches like a "Hard Boiled Detective" And its generally better to add depth by giving the cliche something unique...

Plot twist, Morph is trolling everyone again

I feel like everyone is forgetting that Prof Xavier was a telepath.
idiotsonfire
Xavier hasn't been in a wheelchair for a while now in the comics, but this is kinda sweet, so I'll just accept it and be happy.
cousteau
Yeah, now you know why.
writerbuddy
Last time I read that, it was a dude interviewing for the X-Men.
cousteau
And he was holding a goose.

I think it was X-Men Legends?
iktome99
X-Men legends was great. Id love to see more games of that style
BlueDsc
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 on Switch is I think the most recent.

I know you had to use psychics for that mission. I think it was Psylocke, Jean Grey, and Emma Frost?
And Magma was great.

Would love it if those two games got a HD re-release, been years since I played them.

That's an amazing concept.

Does Xavier have to wear a diaper and if so who changes it?

Telekinesis

Telepathy*
Gotta learn to delegate tasks…
onlyhalfghost
it's telekinesis, he makes Jean Grey do it. That's why she goes evil so often.
cousteau
I was implying that it's just easier to coerce someone to do it.
cousteau
OK but then how did she get the ceiling fan thing right on the first attempt?

Frequent mind wipes will cause adverse effects. I don't think Charles would be fine with that.

To be fair, they have a machine for that one! Or was it a tree? I forget.

Yeah, an interesting way to twist the concept of a healer, but also maybe a little "on the nose" if you will.
EternallyIgnorant
but more interesting than it being some angelic soft spoken cute woman.
FractalB
tbf, the mob boss was a soft-spoken, friendly old man who liked cooking. And would absolutely order your legs be broken, if needed.

What if she was still a mob boss though
