Nah, kids gotta kid, unless it's a 3rd grader taking out my kindergartner, they've got to learn conflict resolution somehow. My kid knows to verbalize requests to stop, then to remove himself from situation, then tell an adult, or if he can't get out of the situation push or even hit back. Deescalate, remove yourself, then defend yourself. Plus it helps he's an empathetic little gentle giant. He's 90th percentile height for his age and pretty athletic, but feels bad if he hurts anyone's feeling
