The cover art for my game is actually just a Unity scene with some custom objects and post-processing. Normally it takes a lot of work to draw all the different sizes and shapes, tweaking everything to fit. Having it as a 3D scene and being able to toggle objects on and off with the appropriate lighting/shadow changes makes it really easy to tweak, localize, and export in the dozen formats needed.
