One of my play-testers sent me this video, it was too good not to share :)

The magnet hit the rotors when it was being reeled in. I'm still deciding if this should be in the final game, but it is funny when it happens.

edit: the game is called Cleared Hot, it's not out yet but I'm working hard on it. If you like this you can wishlist it on Steam, it helps me out a ton: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1710820/Cleared_Hot/

This is giving me Choplifter II flashbacks, that game has scarred me for life.

Nice ad you have there, be a shame if it got reported.

The front page is going to shit. What the fuck is this

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 11

Did that explosion come in late or was a rocket fired at it mid-crash?

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

The rotor exploded first, and then the main body of the helicopter exploded a bit later. They separate parts and take separate damage

"It's a feature!" Reminds me of the game "Soviet strike" (it's just the helicopter but still)

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

I agree about leaving it in! Maybe tune the physics to make it more difficult to happen if it seems common, but it's an intuitive consequenc

you should probably consider have less physics involved. like, not need to constantly adjust just to stay still.

If it could happen IRL, leave it in!

This. Carrying a sling load is very tricky and dangerous, and it can absolutely swing that far up and kill you if you're careless.

My fat finger accidentally brought up your profile. Nice bread.

Give the chain or the magnet more mass perhaps?

Please let this game be Jungle Strike 2022

I also choose this drunk husband's wife's schmeat.

If you're implying your husband incapacitates himself by waving his schlong around... We all low-key envy him.

Desert Strike, but with physics. Noice.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Bad news : this game has already been made. Good news : it was also impossible to steer the fckn helicopter in that one.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I remember this game on the snes. One of my favorites.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

When people ask me how I am doing Im going to send them this from now on

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Leave it in! Seems like the bigger issue is the helicopter needs to have more stability. Maybe it's too responsive to the controls??

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 7

Well... the hostages technically are no longer in danger, so mission success?

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Looks like that n00b never mastered Desert Strike or SImCopter. /s

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Keep it, stupid accidental deaths are always memorable like running with nitro in Resident Evil or getting kicked by a horse in Red Dead II

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

Definitely leave it in! It's brilliant.

I've had this wishlisted for so long. Please make sure Steamdeck compatible.

ALL MUST BOW BEFORE PHYSICS, THE HARSHEST OF MISTRESSES.

If it's a penalty for being imprecise with the aircraft or impatient with the winch, leave it in for sure. Otherwise it's glitchy bullshit.

And a lot of "natural" comments that you see at other unpaid ads!

And early downvote brigade on calling it out that got overridden by real users.

This looks like a fun game

3 years ago | Likes 69 Dislikes 11

I think it looks infuriating... so, yes, I agree.

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Giving me some strong Desert Strike vibes, I love it. Leave it in, if the pilot gets impatient that's on them!

3 years ago | Likes 78 Dislikes 7

Exactly what I was thinking, I might be wrong but wasn’t the HUD similar too.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I thought of the strike series too. Classic fun games.

Thank you! I had a major deja vu and couldnt figure out what it was familiar like. Desert Strike! Its been ages.

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Thanks for the nostalgic name, was wondering what it was called again.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Great game, and i was also thinking desert strike

I do this in real life. Not the flying but I clip the hangy thing to the clippy thing.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Haha amazing ! Any industry insights I should add to the game ?!

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Well you should have person on the ground to clip it on, if they touch it before it touches the ground they might get an electric shock,

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

also if the pilot is bad I've had to dodge it/I've seen them put it through vehicle windshields.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've also seen pilots drop the cargo afterwards in rivers, down the sides of cliffs.
